Fantastic place with brand-new rooms and very nice facilities. Amicable staff and a very nice area for a fairly clean stay, as always.

The hotel was situated walking distance to every place we wanted to explore, like chapel of souls. Wi-Fi and a mirror were good, no complains at all. Free Wi Fi was provided: )

Location: the hotel was not far from the metro stops and subway station and bus station. The rooms were spacious here with comfortable bed, balcony plus very nice facilities❤😃
Views appeared to be ugly.

Good location, friendly staff (they don't speak English, but use Google Translate to communicate ;), free stable wi-fi
Noisy street; you have to find free place for parking on nearby streets

We only stayed here because the price was right (40 euros/night).It is on a main street and very close to the Metro. The staff were friendly, however, didn't speak English. The hotel room was large as well as the bathroom. There is also wifi in the room and you are able to control the air conditioning unit. There's a grocery store, Pingo Doce, across the street that has a cafeteria section. We had breakfast there, bought snacks and Porto wine (cheaper than other places).
My major complaint would be the missed wakeup call. There isn't a phone in the room so the staff have to knock on the door to wake you up. We asked for a wakeup call at 8am and they knocked on our door around 8:30am. As for minor details: not enough hangers in the wardrobe closet, no phone, no clock, no fridge, mattress was thin and soft.

Located close to a metro station, 15 - 20 min walk from city center.
Staff doesn`t speak english, the toilet seat was broken and toilet not very clean at check in, it was replaced the next morning.

Location was quite good, room was rather clean.
Staff did not speak english, VISA is not accepted, surroundings are dirty and unwelcoming (but Porto is like that almost everywhere), very humid and smells like dampness.

The hotel's facilities were decent and the location was convenient in terms of proximity to the city center. the staff was helpful in suggesting nearby places to visit.
The major downside of the hotel was the poor insulation of the rooms, ultimately making for a very uncomfortable stay. The noise from outside and inside the hotel was poorly contained, leading to restless and disrupted sleep each night.

While this is a budget hotel it has very recently been modernised and is very clean and tidy. Don't be put off by the run down area surrounding it, once inside you will not regret it. Unfortunately reception did not speak English, not that it mattered much. There is a nice cafe next door for breakfast and the restaurant over the road is excellent value for money. It is obviously where locals eat and there are not many others nearby. It is 15min walk from station, though uphill. 2 mins from Metro.
Inevitably the Visa machine was "broken" - see other reports. I am sure that if you were a "no show" the Visa machine would work again. Just accept !you will have to pay cash!
